Last night, the Wranglers headed to Grapevine to kick off their season against the Grapevine Ponies. After an exciting evening against a fierce opponent, the Wranglers were able to earn THREE wins (a clean sweep!) to start off the season!
The B team started off the night strong with powerful serves, consistent passes, and great rallies. The camaraderie on the court was strong, and it was evident in the way that the Wranglers communicated with and encouraged one another throughout the game. The Grapevine Ponies were a fierce opponent, but the Wranglers fought hard from start to finish, earning 25-22 and 25-21 victories to bring home the first West Volleyball win of the 2025 season. The A team hit the court with high spirits after an exciting showing from the B team. The Grapevine Ponies got out to an early lead, but the Wranglers did not give up the fight. Instead, they increased their intensity and energy and left everything on the court. In the first set, their thrilling battle with the Grapevine Ponies resulted in an exciting 28-26 victory for the Wranglers. The Wranglers took that momentum and intensity into the second set, sealing the deal with a 25-18 win. Our Wranglers of the Week are Aanya Bajwala, Emery Juarez, and Rithika Bavireddy.
After two thrilling wins from the Wranglers, the C team took the court ready to play. They had high energy and were making great plays right from the start. The Wranglers took an early lead and were able to take home the first set 25-8. Despite a tough first set, the Grapevine Ponies did not give up and put up a fight, demanding that the Wranglers continue to play with high intensity and make great plays throughout the game. Ultimately, the Wranglers were able to claim the second set as well with a 25-16 victory. With this, the Wranglers C Team brought home their first win of the season and secured a clean sweep for the West Wranglers against the Grapevine Ponies. We are so proud of the way our team has started this season, and we can’t wait to see all that this team accomplishes together over the coming weeks. We are looking forward to our next game against the Heritage Broncos next week— We hope to see you there!
