This weekend, the West Wranglers traveled to Coppell High School to compete against more than 10 local schools. One of the highlights of the meet took place before the meet even started when two of our West Wranglers, Diya Dhanesh and Saisha Kolachina, led us all in the national anthem. They sang beautifully and did a phenomenal job, and that got us even more excited to kick off the day!
This meet was our toughest competition yet, but the West Wranglers stayed true to their Wrangler Creed, stepping up to the challenge and remaining unafraid to fail. The Wranglers started off incredibly strong, earning several wins and pins and leaving everything they had out on the mats. After facing some fierce competition, the Wranglers were able to earn 13 wins, 8 pins, and 4 medals! They faced some new challenges this week, but we could not be more proud of the character, passion, and heart that they showed both on and off the mats. As they've done time and time again this season, our athletes proved again this weekend that they are not only strong and powerful athletes but are also excellent leaders, supportive teammates, loyal friends, and compassionate human beings. We could not be prouder of this team, their character, and their work ethic.
Congratulations to our Wranglers of the Week: Aanshika Narula, Ananya Darapaneni, Ariella Aguilar, Diya Dhanesh, Evaysha Rana, Laaiba Ashraf, Gianna Adedipe, Pujasritha Komirisetty, and Saisha Kolachina.
Congratulations to all of our athletes on an amazing tournament! We can't believe that the season is already nearing its end, but we can't wait for the exciting week we have ahead! We hope to see you at West on Wednesday for our final meet of the season: the All-City Championship against the East Broncos and North Cougars! GO WEST WRANGLERS!
