The Lady Wranglers hosted the Lady Cougars for their first home game of the season. The stands were packed for Parent and Staff Appreciation Night. It was an intense game, with solid defense and transition! The game started off to a slow start, North was putting on a 1-3-1 defense, but the Lady Wranglers started to convert outside sides and making some steals on the press to get ahead in the game. At halftime, it was 15-7, Wranglers were up. The girls started to get into foul trouble and North was coming back. But with solid defense, and amazing shooting by Azalea Gordon, Kena Kimathi, and Shradda Kakani, the girls were pulling away with a 13 point. With the game coming to an end, North put on a tough press, but the Lady Wranglers hung in there and took the victory, 33-23. It was an amazing feeling since Coppell West has not beat North in anything for a very, long time. The girls will enjoy this sweet victory and get ready for Grapevine next week!
