The West Wranglers hosted the North Cougars for the first game of the season!
To start the night off, the C Team was neck and neck. Key serving and good plays tied the game 21-21, but then the North Cougars had a tough server come up and finished the 1st set, 22-25. The 2nd set the girls couldn't quite hold on and the North took the victory 2-0. Akshainie Bigga was our Wrangler of the Game with great serves and sets.

For the B Team, it went into 3 sets. With power serving by Aubrey Jones and Anne Muir, the girls took a major lead and won the 1st set 25-13. With the 2nd set, the girls struggled on serve receive and couldn't quite pull off the win. For the 3rd game, the Wranglers had a slow start with a tough North server that earned 7 points in a row. With a sideout, the West Wranglers got the ball back, but couldn't convert many points and lost the last set to a 2-1 victory to North. Siya Patel was our Wrangler of the Game!

For the A Team, the girls stuck with North in the 1st set. It was a back and forth battle with intense volleys, but North got ahead towards the end and took the 1st set 21-25. For the 2nd set, the girls lost their composure, could not break and serve, and too much miscommunication on the 2nd and 3rd touches. North took the 2nd set with no problems 9-25. Anisha Vengati was the Wrangler of the Game!

For the 1st game of the season, not bad for the Wranglers. With little or no experience the girls are learning and improving every day!
They head to Colleyville next week!
