WEST GIRLS ATHLETICS

Volleyball | 10/2/2020

The 8th grade Lady Wrangler volleyball teams traveled to Indian Springs Middle school in Keller for their first game on the road for the season. The girls were super excited to be able to share a bus ride together and play a game they love. The B team girls started off the night with a very close game where they even had the lead several different times during the first set. All girls have improved so much already this season and the team just keeps getting better each week. The girls got to show off their tip coverage that they have been working so hard in practice lately and have improved so much on their serves. Players of the game goes to Alina Ye for her hard work on offense and her serves and Emma Perez for her great digs on defense. All players contributed in this game and should be very proud of their effort!

Our A-Team Lady Wranglers brought their A-game as they showed us their fighting spirit and amazing team unity. Starting off with a slight lead, they were able to pull out ‘til the end of the first game with 25-16. Ready to take on the second game, the girls were ready to go. Arya Catna brought amazing hustle and heart along with some rocket floater serves. Fizza was a great team player and played another position to help out an injured player at the last minute. We are so proud of our girls in their first win of the season! Thank you to Indian Springs for supporting our girls during this time that we are in. We had a great time playing against y’all! Looking forward to our next meet up with Pike Middle School next week!
