What a great night of volleyball for the 8th grade Lady Wrangler volleyball teams! The Lady Wrangler teams traveled to Tidwell Middle school for only their second game on the road and defeated the Titans in two games each. The B team started the night off with Aubrey Witherspoon serving 8 points to get the girls on the board and off to a great start! All players played very well and did their part to take the team to their first win of the season. The team made some changes this week to their game play strategy and it definitely paid off and the girls embraced the change as a team, which worked to their advantage. Players of the game were Kirsten Price with her strong serves and communication to her teammates and Emma Perez with her aggressive defensive play and determination. Overall, a great game by all players and they hope to carry this momentum with them going into their game on Saturday at home versus Timberview.

A team closed the night out with ANOTHER win! We changed up a few things the day-of in our rotations and the girls quickly caught on. They reacted quickly to several quickly returned balls and were able to set it up for a kill most times. Arya Catna really stepped up her game with some killer serves that gave us a huge lead in the first game. The Tidwell Titans got a small lead at the beginning of the second game, but the Lady Wranglers didn’t let that affect them. Londyn Harper was ready at the net for any balls that were barely going over and made a wall to stop them. Muneera Seif and Isabel Agudelo also took control of the balls in the back row. Players of the game are Londyn Harper and Arya Catna. The coaches are SO PROUD of everyone on the team and coming together, having fun, and working hard no matter what. We are excited about our double header on Saturday against Timberview A & B teams.
