The Lady Wranglers had an early Saturday morning, this past weekend as we traveled to Timberview Middle School. Our A team started off the morning, and as seemed to be the struggle for all of our teams coming off an exciting night at home on Thursday, our energy was low. We couldn’t quite figure out how to come together and get excited about the game. We did improve on defense from the previous game, but we struggled on serve receive, allowing Timberview some big runs that kept them ahead. Our player of the game was Paola Farinas Marquina for her energy and positivity on the court.

Our B Team struggled to find the energy from Thursday night when they fought so relentlessly. We played well when we returned the serve. The service game of Timberview was quite a challenge, however. We did enjoy watching the girls become more confident in hitting the ball. Our player of the game goes to one of our tiniest players with the heart of a lion who was willing to hit multiple times with several successful attacks over the net, Kiyanna Bhakta.

Our C Team also struggled with returning the serve and back row digs. When we did have a successful return over the net the 2 teams seems pretty evenly matched. Everyone had their ups and downs. Our service game was definitely off from Thursday night’s performance. For this game, we are celebrating a player who had some good passes over the net and successful serves, Gabby Lindsey is our player of the game.
