Vista Ridge: 40
West: 13

This week the Wranglers finished out their season, playing against Vista Ridge Middle School. They got off to a slow start, but before halftime, turned it up a notch. The offensive line, including Sree Surapaneni, Tiam Ansari, Srivanth Rudrangi, Cameron Molina, and Julian Walker, paved a clear path for running back Gabe Villa. Early in the second half, Villa managed to score off a 40-yard run. Later, cornerback Zyan Patel came up with a huge tackle that kept Vista Ridge out of the endzone. The next possession, the Wranglers offense drove the ball down the field for another touchdown by none other than Gabe Villa. Quarterback Drake Baes essentially walked into the endzone, scoring the extra point for the Wranglers. Vista Ridge was a tough opponent, but the Wranglers fought hard. The season may not have gone exactly the way the Wranglers would have wanted, but they absolutely saw growth. The team that ended the season looked remarkably different than the one that started. From here they’ll go into the offseason or other sports, continuing to work hard and get better for next season. Go Wranglers!

The 8th Grade Wranglers finished up their season Wednesday night in Ft. Worth, taking on Vista Ridge Middle School. The Wranglers showed tremendous effort and grit and battled the entire night. The offense got going after a great kickoff return by Jacob Van Luvan. The Wrangler would go on to score on that drive after a huge 4th down conversion to get inside the 10 yard line. On 4th and Goal from the one, the Wranglers QB Parth Patel found his way into the end zone. The Wranglers would find the end zone one more time after a huge pass play from Patel to James Faison. That set up Patel for another touchdown run, and Faison added the point after. The defense was in a battle all night. They were heavily undersized but that did not stop them from giving their best effort. Atharva Naktode and Armando Acosta had fantastic tackles on the night for the Wranglers. The Wranglers finish the season with a 1-7 record and a whole lot of heart!
