7th Volleyball Finishes Season Strong at Home

Girls Volleyball | 11/9/2020

Our B and C Team started off the evening against Vista Ridge. Since Vista Ridge only had an A and B Team, our girls had an opportunity to play in 1 final set. C Team started off the night. They struggled with returning the serves but kept a great attitude. Kudos go out to Valeria Coloma with a kill for the evening. B Team came out for the second set. They had their second opportunity to execute a 5-1 offense and continued to do an outstanding job. While this game was much closer, we still were not able to come away with the win to force the match to a third set. During this set special mention goes out to Harshitha Asai Thambi for her serving, Kiyanna Bhakta for an amazing kill, and Vibha Vedigiri for her digs on the back row and successful attack. This year was amazing to get to see how far the girls progressed. We hope they had fun and are excited about continuing their volleyball experience.

Our Lady Wrangler A team finished with a tremendous game on Thursday night against Vista Ridge Middle School. With one win against them under our belt this season already, the girls were excited and confident heading into our final game of the season at home. Both teams had a season of volleyball improvement, and it was clear that both teams had improved throughout the season. Our first set was difficult to serve receive, as Vista Ridge had some great servers, and we ended up dropping the first set 19-25. But the Lady Wranglers never gave up! They headed back out, heads up, and improved on our serves and focus and were able to pull out a spectacular win in the second set 25-19 and the third set 15-12. Our players of the game were Kennady Coronado, for her strong serving game, and Sophia Tran, who stepped up at the last minute to be our setter and did a fantastic job! Nothing but pride in these girls as they finished on a strong note this season, and I can’t wait to see them improve throughout the year and get excited for next season! Congrats on a well earned win and a hard fought season!
