The Coppell West Lady Wranglers vs. The Vista Ridge Lady Panthers

West 7th grade girls basketball started the season on December 3rd against Vista Ridge in our first home game. Vista Ridge only had 2 teams, so we combined our 30 girls into 2 teams so that everyone could have a chance to play and get the first game jitters over.

One thing that these girls have is heart. Always trying to do their best, they made many adjustments during the games and gave 100% to the end. Despite being outmatched, the girls said they still had fun and were looking forward to the rest of the season. Coach Resendez and I were very encouraged by the scrappiness that the girls showed throughout the games. Another highlight was shooting 100% on our free throws.

Offensively, we had 11 different girls score, including 2 successful 3 point shots. Defensively, we had 3 different girls with blocks and 21 different girls with steals.
