The Lady Wrangler 8th grade basketball team has been on fire! I could not be more proud of these ladies and their work ethic. The team had their fifth game of the season last night and only second game on their home court. Even though we have yet to have all of our players due to circumstances beyond our control, each week these girls show up, listen and try each and every day to improve their skills. All players that were able to play had to step up last night against a very tall Indian Springs team. The girls knew it was going to be different not having a couple of our key players out with injuries or due to other situations. But, these girls never wavered or let up, they played hard from first whistle to final buzzer. Leading the team offensively was Maddie Nguyen with 14 points and 7 offensive rebounds. Isabel Agudelo contributed 6 points and 6 steals, LaNiyah West had 5 points and 2 blocked shots and Aubrey Witherspoon had a great game playing a new position and still walked away with 3 points and 5 steals. The Lady Wranglers took the win over Indian Springs with a score of 30-21. Overall, very proud of these ladies and look forward to our second half of season when we return to play in January.
