What a game!! The 8th grade Lady Wrangler basketball team hosted the Tidwell Lady Titans at home on Thursday night. The Lady Wranglers have been battling with injuries lately and are down to 10 healthy players on the game roster. The number deficit did not deter these girls from playing like they had a full bench and an unlimited energy supply. All players contributed and played with grit and determination from tip off to the end of OT. After ending in a tie at the end of regulation, the girls were determined to pull off the win in overtime with some new tactics and perseverance. Leading scorers on the night were Londyn Harper with 15 points, Maddie Nguyen with 13 points, Harika Uppuluri with 4 points, Aubrey Witherspoon with 3 and Isabel Agudelo with 1. Aubrey Witherspoon led the team in steals, getting 9 during her time on the floor before an injury, while Maddie Nguyen led the team in rebounds, grabbing 12 of our team’s 30. Overall, an amazing game by all players. Congratulations, ladies!
