7th Boys A Team Cruises Past Timberview as B and C Fall Short

The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers took on the Timberview Hawks at home in their sixth game season. The Wranglers got off to a fast start with baskets from Sebastian Pena and Trey Holt. At the end of the first, the wranglers were up 12-5. At the start of the second quarter, the Wranglers went on an 8-0 with layups from Levi Owira and Aston Huynh. At halftime, the Wranglers had a commanding 26-13 lead. At the start of the second half, Drake Baes kept the Wrangler's offense going with great passing and playmaking. The Wranglers were getting stops on defense by limiting the Hawks to one possession every time down. The Wranglers were led in rebounds by Cameron Molina. The Wranglers are 4-2 on the season and will be looking to add to their win column against Fossil Hill Middle School Panthers at home this Monday.

This weekend the Coppell Middle School West Wranglers took on the Timberview Hawks at home. The Wranglers started slow and were missing shots they are accustomed to making. At the end of the first quarter, the Wranglers were down 7-5. The Wranglers picked it up offensively in the second quarter but went into halftime down 13-7. The Wranglers started to chip away at the Hawk's lead in the second half, but it wasn't enough. The Wranglers lost 26-12. The Wranglers will be looking to bounce back this Monday in their last home game of the season against the Fossil Hill Panthers.

Timberview: 27

The Coppell Middle School West Wrangler C Team lost their game this week to the Timberview Middle School Hawks. The final score of the game was 27 to 14. The Hawks got up to an early lead and their aggressive defense allowed them to shut down the Wrangler offense and expand their lead throughout the game. Although the Wranglers managed to get their offense going in the 2nd half, it was not enough to catch up. Hatim Nicobar led the Wrangler offense again this week, with the help of Stanley Calvin. Sree Surapaneni led the Wrangler offense and defense in rebounds. This week, the Wranglers will take on the Fossil Hill Middle School Panthers at Home.
