The 8th grade Lady Wrangler basketball team traveled to Fossil Hill Middle school on Thursday night for their last game on the road. The Lady Wranglers took an early lead in the first quarter, but the team from Fossil Hill kept battling back, making for a close game all the way until the final buzzer. All players from West worked hard the entire time they were in the game and never got rattled, nor gave up. Offensive leaders on the floor were Londyn Harper with 15 points, 9 steals and 8 rebounds and Maddie Nguyen with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 steals. Defensive players of the game go to Zoe Stephan and Nia Hall who both played aggressive and never let up, even when the odds were not in their favor.
Overall, a great game by the Lady Wranglers and congratulations on finishing the game with a score of 34-30. The Lady Wranglers will be playing their next game at home against a cross town rival, the North Cougars on Thursday night. Best of luck to the Lady Wranglers!
