West B: 15
Medlin B: 47

This weekend the Wranglers faced the Medlin Mustangs at home. The team got off to their best start of the season, scoring 11 points in the first quarter. They were only down by six points at the end of the first quarter, but then the Wranglers went scoreless in the second and third quarters. By the fourth quarter, the Wranglers were exhausted, but still full of fight. Parth Patel led the way for the team offensively and defensively. He also scored a season high of 11 points. Marco Tarango and Yuvraj Bhandari added four points of their own to the Wranglers’ total. Overall it was a disappointing loss, but good lesson that proved the team could compete with good teams. Next week they’ll take on their cross-town rival, the North Cougars and hope to get their first win of the season.

West A: 18
Medlin A: 49

This weekend the Wranglers took on the Medlin Mustangs for their second home game this season. The team was without Haniel Johnson, Ryan Truong, and Kunaal Kapoor, three of their best defenders/scorers. To even out numbers Atharva Naktode and Melham Khambati, stepped up and played with the A Team to give them the numbers they needed. The Wranglers got off to a slow start in the first quarter, but managed to pick things up in the second. Midway through the second half, the Wranglers were exhausted and struggled to keep up with the Mustangs. Jacob Van Luvan led the team in scoring for the first time this season with seven points, followed by James Faison with six of his own. Next week the team will have Kunaal Kapoor back and have some more firepower for their offense to go and score against their cross-town rival, Coppell Middle School North.
