The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers took on the Vista Ridge Panthers in their last basketball game. The Wranglers played aggressively and with passion from start to finish! The Wrangler's offense was not clicking in the first quarter and got down early. The Wranglers started to chip away at the Panther's lead and cut it down to eight at halftime. Hatim Nicobar and Ryker Villines made several steals and rebounds to keep the game close. But it wasn't enough as they lost to the Panthers 46-27. The Wranglers came to practice with a great attitude played through adversity this entire basketball season. This group has excellent talent and a lot to build on for the next hoops season!

This week the Coppell Middle School West Wranglers played against the Vista Ridge Middle School Panthers on the road in their last game season. Both teams started slowly with multiple defensive stops and several missed close-range shots. At the end of the first quarter, the Wranglers were down 5-4. In the second quarter, the offense picked up Stanley Calvin, hit a three-pointer, got the Wranglers going, and started running for the Wranglers. The Wranglers went on a 6-0 run and a lead at halftime. The Wranglers went on to win the game 25-20. Everyone contributed with great defense and hustle. I am proud of this group and its improvements throughout the season.
