The Lady Wranglers put up a great fight last night against Tidwell Middle School. The C team managed to start the game off strong, however, Tidwell had a strong serving game and had a few runs with serves. In turn, we struggled with serve receive but did great talking and cheering on our team. Our top player of the game was Dhanushi Raval. She showed amazing sportsmanship, by being super load on the court, hustling, and encouraged her teammates. Next week the C team will be working to perfect serve receive and rotations. Overall, it was a great effort by all the girls, especially for the first games of the season. We are looking forward to seeing improvement each week and watching a great volleyball season unfold!

Our B team did a great job last night as well, and really kept the score close for most of the night. We struggled getting our serves over, but the girls kicked it into gear when we needed it. In our first set, the girls made some great plays but were unable to hang on to our early lead, and then in the second set we definitely made the other team work for it as the girls began getting their serves over, and we lost a close 18-25 2nd set. Our top server, scorer, and player of the game was Fatima Siddique.

The A Team finished off the night for us on Thursday, and were super nervous and excited for their first game, and they really came together as a team to work together through all of the first game jitters. We started off great in both of our sets, but with strong serves coming from Tidwell, we let them get on some runs that were hard to come back from. Overall the girls looked like they were building some confidence in areas that we have been working on at practice, and were in great spirits after the game! Our player of the game this week was Sophia Tran, who stepped up as setter this season, and even with some injuries, went out and did her best in every aspect of the game.
