The Lady Wrangler 8th grade C team started last night's home game off, against the Indian Springs Eagles, with more confidence this week and it showed. Every player gave it their all and although the score did not reflect this, they grew as a team. The Lady Wranglers encouraged each other throughout the game and made Indian Springs work for their win. On the court they showed more skill with longer rallies. Player of the game this week goes to Kaylee Giddings for her great serving! Next week, we will continue to work on serve receive and rotations. Our next game will be an away game against Pike Middle School, and we are excited to see how much we will improve in just one short week!

Our B Team also did a great job. The scores of all of our games did not reflect the effort these girls put into the game, and especially for this B team. They did a great job debuting at their first home game and we could tell that the beginning of the season jitters are starting to fade away. The girls played defense really well, and put themselves in a lot of opportunities to do great things but in the end we just couldn’t finish. The player of the game this week was Valeria Coloma who joined us in our first game and did an amazing job at working hard and making sure her team had an opportunity to be successful.

Super proud of our girls for working hard every rally during the A team game last night. We focused on making sure that no point that the other team scored was easy and the girls did their best despite the loss. We had some great rally’s and our serve receive was better despite some really tough serves and offense from Indian Springs. We battled through some mental mistakes, and the girls left everything out on the floor. Our player of the game was Sophia Kim who really stepped up her defense in the second set for us.
