Chisholm Trail- 30

This week the Coppell Middle School West Wranglers took on the Chisholm Trail Bulldogs on the road. The Wranglers won the coin toss but deferred the ball to the Bulldogs to set the tone defensively. The Wranglers defense made the bulldogs earn every yard that opening drive. It took the bulldogs almost the entire first quarter to get in the red zone with great tackles by Stanley Calvin, Julian Walker, and Ryker Villines. The Wranglers received the ball on offense and moved the ball down the field with great runs by Gabe Villa. The Wranglers didn't get in the end zone that drive, but that did not discourage them. Drake Baes made a great play on the next defensive series by intercepting a pass from the bulldog's thanks to Zyan Patel tipping the pass. The Wranglers went into halftime down. After halftime adjustments, the wranglers kept the bulldogs out of the endzone in the second half but ultimately lost the game. The Wranglers will look to turn their season around next week at home against the Fossil Hill Panthers!
