At the Zone Meet on Wednesday, West XC runners once again set new pr’s and achieved individual goals in the final full meet of the season. Both boys division managed to qualify for team competitions at the Meet of Champions on Monday. It was a great season with constant improvement across the board. Hopefully, the skills learned will serve these athletes well in their future athletic endeavors. The greatest achievement I saw for many was the belief that they can do so much more than what they thought and that the key was steady work toward a goal instead of just expecting to be instantly good at a new skill. I look forward to seeing these athletes compete in Track and Field in the spring and continuing their cross country careers next year.
