The Lady Wrangler 7th grade volleyball teams traveled to Fossil Hill Middle School to take on the Lady Panthers in their sixth game of the season. The C team started the night off with some great serves by Shreeya Kerthipati and Helena Comparin. The team really had to work together on some key rallies with the Lady Panthers and they did so with such ease and excitement. Player of the game for her leadership on the court and plays on both front and back row goes to to Makayla Giddings.

The B team followed up and had a very close and exciting game. The B team won the first game with a close score of 25-22, but had a rough start to the second game. We were too slow to recover from a few dropped balls and missed serves and lost the second game. The B team is not a stranger to going to 3 games, but we have not been able to pull out the win. Player of the game goes to Anika Baindur for her great defensive play on the back row. Unfortunately, the girls fell short by just 3 points in the third game, but fought hard and did not give up.

The A team still had slight improvements over last week, but overall ended up falling short against the Lady Panthers. Our court awareness seemed to be higher, but our lack of communication overcame that. Taliah Ellis and Ameya Kella were forces on the front row getting tips and blocks. We are still working to stay on our toes and be more ready for all situations coming over the net. Our player of the game is Taliah Ellis for her force in the front. A great job and learning experience all for the girls with some new rotations and we are looking forward to celebrating our teachers at our next game at home versus our cross town rivals, the North Cougars.
