8TH VOLLEYBALL IN CROSS-TOWN RIVALRY

8th Volleyball in Cross-town Rivalry

Our A team worked hard and set themselves up for some great opportunities but unfortunately we suffered on taking advantage of our momentum and defense in front of the 10’ line. We struggled to adjust to our errors and it kept us in a rut most of the night. Our back row defense is getting better each week, as well as our movement on the floor, and we need to continue to work on communication and making sure the ball is the most important object on the floor. Our player of the week for A team is Isabella Nguyen who was a strong presence on the front row for us and stayed aggressive all night.

Our B team came off a strong showing last week, but was unable to bring that energy and enthusiasm with them to North. Our biggest struggle this week was communication. Though we gave ourselves some opportunity to be successful, we were unable to capitalize on those opportunities, and take advantage of certain situations. As our confidence continues to build throughout the end of our season, I am looking forward to seeing this team put it together for a great night! Our player of the week is Lindsey Yoo for her offensive confidence and aggressiveness on the front row last night.

The C team started the game off slow and their lack of communication really hurt them in both sets, however, they fought hard from beginning to end. The result of the game is far from a representation of how much these ladies have improved since day one as well as how they are during practices. This week we have two players of the game. 1st is Aryahi Ravi with 5 made serves overall and Dhanushi Raval on her first dig during the game. The Lady Wranglers C team will finish out the season at home against Coppell East Middle School.
