The Lady Wranglers took on our cross-town rival, the East Broncos, last night in a tough match up.

The B Team started off a little shaky in the first set, allowing the Broncos servers to get on some long runs, but there were some great rallys sprinkled in there and the girls did a much better job of communicating and giving themselves some opportunities to score. The second set proved to be a little better as we were much more competitive in serve receive and being aggressive all around the court. The girls have one more game next week to finish off their season vs. Vista Ridge MS next Thursday. Our players of the game were Anjana Boppana, and Kassandra Garcia for their great defense on the back row, each snagging a handful of digs and they did a great job at reading and adjusting.

The A team played a tough East team last night, but held their own. Unfortunately, even with a late comeback in the second set, we were unable to take the win in our final home game of the season. The girls definitely wanted to perform well for their home crowd, and I think they did despite the scoreboard. The girls were competitive in the first set, but were just unable to take advantage of some opportunities. Defense improved tremendously from the previous week, and we were in better positions to make things happen. We started slow in the next set, allowing them to get ahead 3-15. However, after a quick timeout to remember what we were playing for, the girls started making their comeback, and we were able to score 12 points to their 10 to finish the game 15-25. Despite the loss, the girls looked great and we are going to continue to prepare for our final regular season game vs. Vista Ridge as well as get ready for our tournament. Our player of the game this week was Kennady Coronado for her continued leadership throughout this season and last night.

The Lady Wrangler C team played their last game of the season at home last night against Coppell East Middle School. The C team had a rough start during the first set, however, they greatly improved getting the ball to the setter and talking to each other during the second set despite the outcome. Although we will not have another game, A and B teams last game will be next week so the Lady Wranglers C team will have another week to practice and improve their skills without the pressures of having a game. The player of the game is Insiya Poonwala with 3 made serves, 1 kill, and 1 dig. A special thank you to all the parents that came out to support our athletes!
