7TH LADY WRANGLERS VS. CROSS TOWN RIVAL COUGARS

7th Lady Wranglers vs. Cross Town Rival Cougars

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Girls Basketball | 1/21/2022

C Team started us off tonight, hoping to repeat last week's win against Fossil Hill. North proved to be a tough and rumble team that we unfortunately couldn’t hang with. Low in numbers, the girls played a long game but we couldn’t take care of the ball or get in a good position to shoot. We hope to continue working on our confidence and aggression heading into next week. Our players of the game were Payton Moses, and Rachel Chio.

North’s B team started off very aggressive and never turned back, leaving us to try to pick up the pieces as the girls struggled through most of the night. Taking care of the ball, finding opportunities to score, and taking opportunities to score led us to a tough loss against the Cougars. Our player of the game was Nysa Nayak for working hard on defense, and Ishani Tamma who picked up our only points for the night.

It was a rough night for the Lady Wrangler A team as they battled the North Cougars on the road Thursday night. The Lady Wranglers had a slow start on both offense and defense unfortunately, and the Lady Wranglers were not able to battle back after such a slow start. The Lady Wranglers are hoping to use some of the frustration from the night to fight back and battle harder in their next game at home against the East Broncos. Player of the game goes to Taliah Ellis for her perseverance on offense and defense.
