The Wranglers welcomed cross town sister school, North, last night to the West competition gym. The night started off exciting as our “C” team played a competitive game against the North Cougars. Unfortunately, in the last minute our athletes fell by 2 points and could not regain the lead. That makes 2 out of the last 4, losses by a total of 4 points. The other 2 out of 4 games the “C” team won by a total of 3 points. They have kept us on the edge of our seats for a good chunk of the season. For the second week in a row, “B” team was buoyed by a Sophia Kim 3-point shot. For the first time all season, their spirits seemed low and definately affected their level of play. Our “A” Team played with a lot of heart as they struggled against North. Their smiles and great attitude kept everyone focussed as they worked from the beginning toss to the final buzzer. This is why I love these 30 athletes, they work 100% to give their all physically and emotionally, they lift each other up when things are tough, and never quit even when the odds seem overwhelming. Our offensive players of the games are: Insiya Poonawala, Sophia Kim, Kaylee Giddings, Jaylen Hobbs, and Mahek Verma. Other players with outstanding performances include: Midhuna Prakash, Yuri Kim, Manyaa Polavarapu, and Saujanyaa Balaji.
