The Wrangler Cross Country Team ran their first meet on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Keller High School. The team competed against 5 other schools: Keller Middle School, Coppell Middle School East, Trinity Springs Middle School, Gene Pike Middle School, and Medlin Middle School.

Our 8th grade boys started the meet out strong with 6 of our Wranglers in the top 20 finalists. Leading our 8th grade boys was Tanish Neelapu, running a 12:16.50 2 mile, followed by Andrew Ma, running a 12:18.40 2 mile. Following them included Aryan Patel at 12:42.60, Batosz Wendland at 12:45.80, Denim Jones at 12:47.20, and Sachid Pola at 13:17.30. The 8th Grade Wrangler Boys landed in 1st Place in their group run.

The 8th Grade Lady Wranglers then followed suit, with Lanah Alramahi being the only 8th grade girl to be a finalist in the top 20, at a time of 15:16.50. After a hard and long run, the 8th Grade Lady Wranglers fell into 6th place overall in their group run.

The 7th Grade Boys ended up running in 5th overall as a team, with Aarav Varshneya being the only Wrangler to make the top 20, running a 13:45.80 2 mile. The 7th Grade Lady Wranglers then landed in 3rd place in their group, having 3 Lady Wranglers land in the top 20 finalists. Madison Hartzell, landing in 7th place overall in their group, ran a 15:21.90 2 mile. Eliana Acuna landed the 15th spot with a 16:37.80, and Vanini Agarwal was close behind in the 16th spot with a 16:42.50.

Congratulations to our Coppell Middle School West Cross Country team for a great and successful first meet! The Wranglers next meet will be on September 14, 2022 at Hillwood Middle School.
