The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers fell just short of a victory against the Fossil Hill Middle School Panthers with a final score of 8-0. The Wranglers defense were able to make multiple tackles for a loss and cause multiple turnovers. Svar Patel led the defense in tackles for a loss and Emmitt Wilson led the offense in passing. Next week the Wranglers will be playing their first home game against the Vista Ridge Panthers.

The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers lost on the road this week to the Fossil Hill Middle School Panthers. The final score of the game was 19-6. It was a close game throughout the first three quarters, but the Panthers were able to build a strong lead in the 3rd and 4th quarter. The Wranglers scored first with a 20 yard pass from quarterback, Taylor Johns, to running back, Nyne Palmer. The Panthers answered back with a touchdown of their own and a completed 1 point conversion to take the lead 7-6 going into half time. In the second half, the Panthers scored 2 more touchdowns, while holding the Wrangler offense to 0 points in the second half. Quarterback, Taylor Johns, led the Wrangler offense in rushing yards throughout the game. Linebacker, Taylor Johns, and Safety, Nyne Palmer, led the Wrangler defense in tackles. Next week, Coppell Middle School West will play their first home game against the Vista Ridge Panthers.
