Our A team brought home their first win tonight against Fossil Hill Middle school. It was a big confidence boost for the girls to be able to find some success early in the season, and they are hoping it’s the first of many. Though we still have some work to do, we saw lots of growth in the team this week. Our defense was great in coverage, though we are still struggling in serve receive. Once some of our skills get cleaned up and we are more consistent on offense, the team as a whole will have a great season! Our players of the week this week were Ameya Kella for her strong offensive presence, and Hannah Poito for her hustle and maybe a little luck when we needed it!

Fossil Hill may have won the dub last night but the B team girls fell short. This was an incredibly hard loss because I know that the girls expected a win. However, we all learned a very valuable lesson; play your game, not your opponent's game. Even with our loss, we saw some great things! Our players of the week include Vyshnavi Devarakonda and Rachel Chio. Vyshnavi was successful in executing a perfect hit off of a set, and Rachel dominated in her serves to help us stay in the game. Huge shoutout to Fiona Erb and for staying positive and cheerful even when things are looking tough. Looking forward to our game against Vista Ridge, we will be ready!
