The Coppell Middle West Wranglers took on the Vista Ridge Middle School Panthers on the road for the third game of the football season. The Panthers started with a big play and scored on the first drive. The Wranglers tried to answer back on offense by moving the ball. The Wranglers got within the endzone with a great run by Aayush Golla but didn't convert. The Wranglers went into halftime down 14-0. During halftime, the Wranglers made adjustments to stop the Panther's offense. Ashil Desai came downhill and made great tackles. The team defense stepped up and tackled as a unit, and the offense stayed on the field for most of the second half with long drives. The Wrangler's second adjustment was significant but not enough as the Panthers pulled off the victory. The Wranglers will take on Coppell Middle School North Broncos next Tuesday at Buddy Echols Field.

The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers traveled to Vista Ridge Middle School in Keller this past week to take on the Panthers. The Wranglers offense had a difficult time getting anything going early in the game after a turnover on their first drive. The defense did a good job on the evening tackling, but the Panthers had too many big plays, especially in the first half. The Wranglers got a couple of huge kickoff returns from Da’Wayvien Witcher and Christuan Young to help set up the offense. But penalties and fumbles kept the offense from getting into the end zone. The Wranglers are looking forward to Middle School Night this Friday at the CHS football homecoming game, and will return to CHS on Tuesday of next week to take on CMS North.
