The 8th grade Lady Wrangler volleyball teams traveled to their first away game at Vista Ridge Middle school on Thursday night to take on the Lady Panthers.
The A team came on the court next and was ready to dominate! The girls all worked together as a team and each player contributed to the wins, taking it in two against the Panthers. Madison Harris played aggressive on the net and with her strong serves, having 5 big hits and 12 great serves. Sophia Ennes had a great night as well with 11 strong serves and 3 big hits. Sarah Afridi had a great defensive game and strong serves, and Ameya Kella had a great night on the net with 3 kills. Overall, a great night together as a team for these Lady Wranglers and they are looking forward to take on their cross-town rival, the North Cougars next week at North.

The B team girls walked in with their heads high but unfortunately lost the last match against Vista Ridge. The girls started off slow by missing a few serves in game one and came back stronger in game two. Vyshanvi Devarakonda and Jamyson High-Williams were aggressive on the net by attempting to block and getting multiple hits over the net. Rachel Chio and Payton Moses continue to lead the team in serves! Bianca Podval also performed well defensively by leading her team in digs. Overall, the girls played hard and we saw many improvements from last week's game. We look forward to our next game against North and we will be ready!
