This past week, the Wrangler Cross Country Team ran at the Annual Zone Meet, at Argyle High School. Coppell Middle School West competed against five other teams, including Coppell Middle School North, Coppell Middle School East, Argyle Middle School, Keller Middle School, and Keller Indian Springs.

The 8th Grade Boys had an amazing race, falling into the 1st Place Spot in their Division. Andrew Ma, landing in 3rd place, ran a 12.16.47, with Tanish Neelapu close behind him in 4th place at 12.18.96. Denim Jones landed the 7th spot at 12.26.87, Aryan Patel in the 17th spot at 13.13.72, and Bartosz Wendland in the 18th spot at 13.14.02. With 5 landing in the Top 20, the 8th Grade Boys were able to place as a team for the Meet of Champions on Monday, October 3, 2022 to compete against the other schools in the region for a championship title.

Although the 8th Grade Girls fell short in placing as a team for the Meet of Champions, the girls ran fast and fought for good times! Lanah Alramahi, running a 15.28.46, was able to make the Meet of Champions as an individual runner. As for the team as whole, the Lady Wranglers placed 6th in their Division.

The 7th Grade Boys, landing 6th Place in their Division, also worked hard for their times and as a team. With 3 boys making it to the Meet of Champions, the Wranglers were able to represent their team well! With Aarav Varshneya running a 14.59.99, Kasi Kavali running a 15.11.08, and Sidharth Kerthipati running a 15.15.72, the Coppell Wranglers did a great job overall.

Finally, our 7th Grade Girls finished the Meet Day off with an exciting race! Landing 5th overall in their Division, Madison Hartzell led the Lady Wranglers, ending in 10th place with a time of 14.54.34. Pratyasha Sahoo and Vanini Agarwal also were able to land spots individually, along with Hartzell, for the Meet of Champions by running a 15.31.44 (Sahoo) and 15.36.06 (Agarwal).
