This week our 8th grade Lady Wranglers A team faced off against the Coppell North Cougars. Our Wranglers had a tenacious first match but succumbed to a 20-25 loss. The girls struggled to come back in the second set as well. Our defensive players of the night goes to Maddie Harris who led her team in blocks, and Sophia Ennes who led her team in digs. Our offensive player of the night goes to Sarah Afridi who led her team in strong and consistent serves against the Cougars. Next Wednesday we face off against Wilson Middle School. Until then we have lots to work on.

The B Team took on the Lady Cougars next. THIS GAME HAD SO MUCH INTENSITY! We started off a little slow but Bianca Podval and Rachel Chio came out with strong serves attacking the weak spots. This shook the Cougars to their core. However, we fell just shy of a W on that first match and lost 25-21. In the second match Bianca and Rachel rattled their seats again with strong serves. Defensively, Jamyson High-Williams had solid blocks and Payton Moses had been digging every ball that came her way. However, our best efforts fell short and lost 27-25. Overall, these girls brought their A game and we could not be prouder of them. We are looking forward to our next game against Wilson.

C team Lady Wranglers played their first game in two weeks! These girls brought their heart and soul into this game and left with even bigger smiles. The girls lost both matches, but their spirit and drive was not questioned once. Our offensive player of the night goes to Siri Kodali! Sir had 12 straight serves go over in one game! Our defensive players of the night go to Helena Comparin and Bhakthi Narayan! Both girls were not afraid of hitting the ground, running, communicating, and leading our team in digs. Could not have asked more from our Lady Wranglers. Bring it on Wilson, we will be ready.
