The 7th grade Lady Wrangler volleyball teams were excited to play on their home court Thursday night against the Trinity Springs Titans. The Titans came out with strong serves in all 3 games, but the Lady Wranglers didn’t give up without a fight.

The C team started off against a tough couple of servers who were able to rack up quite a few points for the Titans early on in the first game. However, the C team did not give up the fight and remained positive, encouraging, and ready to play throughout the match. In their fight back against the Titans, the Wranglers got on several serving runs of their own, even landing multiple aces on the other side of the net. The players of the game were Tapasya Shah, Sanvi Gubbi Arun, and Reet Grover for their strong serves against the Titans. Although the C team did not bring home a win, they had an incredible comeback and had a lot to be proud of from their game.

After facing tough servers last week, the B team came out ready to face the Titans in serve receive. Although the Titans had a few long serving runs, the Lady Wranglers did not give up and continued to fight until the final point. At the end of the second game, Isabella Smith had a great serving run and performed very well under the pressure of the Titans having 24 points. The players of the game were Maanya Vegesna for her passing and hustle, Dia Patidar for her hitting and positivity, and Anjini Subramanian for her communication and consistency. Unfortunately, the B team was not able to make up the points lost to the serving runs in the beginning of the game and ultimately was unable to bring home the win. However, the B team celebrated several wins on and off the court during this game.

The Lady Wrangler A team struggled on their home court against the Titans. The Titans came out with strong serves and aggressive play on the net that our girls were not ready for. Emma Hurst and Esha Polishetty had some strong serves and scrappy defense to try and battle back, but it just wasn’t enough. The second set was looking better for the Lady Wranglers and they started off stronger on serves, but the offense could never really get in a groove and the Titans took both sets from the Lady Wranglers. The teams will travel to Timberview next week for their last regular season game on the road, and they would love to see all the fans there to support them.
