The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers played their season opener this week against the Adams Middle School Lions. Adams took home the victory, with a final score of 42 to 9. The top scoring Wranglers were Avik Jain, Neel Koyande, Nund Shah, and Believe Mbangi, with 2 points each. Nund Shah and Dev Patel led the Wranglers in rebounds. Wrangler pointguard, Nund Shah, led the Defense with 3 steals. Next week, the CMS West Wranglers will take on the Carroll Middle School Dragons at home.
7th Grade B Team:
West: 18
Adams: 38
The Coppell Middle School West 7th Grade B team started their season off against the Adams Lions this past Tuesday at home. The Lions took home the victory 38-18 but the Wrangler played hard all game. Leading the Wranglers in scoring on the evening were Deandre Mack with 5 points and Dhruv Madavarapu and Pavan Kenkatakrishnan with 3 points each. Next week, the CMS West Wranglers will take on the Carroll Middle School Dragons at home.
7th Grade A Team:

The Coppell MIddle School West 7th Grade A team took the court for the first time this season this past Tuesday versus Adams Middle School. The Wranglers took a while to get going and it was a little too late. They scored their most points in the 4th quarter but Adams lead was too much to overcome. Leading the Wranglers in points were: Shaun Gandhi with 9, Siddhanth Kakani with 6 and Pierce Huynh with 4. Next week, the CMS West Wranglers will take on the Carroll Middle School Dragons at home.
8th Grade C Team
West: 29
Adams: 18
The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers kicked off the 2022 basketball season against the Adams Middle School lions. Renish Joshi led the way with 10 points and 2 steals. The Wranglers showed out in their season opener with an amazing team effort defeating the lions 29-18. We look forward to next week's competition against the Carroll Middle School dragons.
8th Grade B Team
West: 47

The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers opened up the season on the road against the Adam Middle School Lions. The Wranglers started off the game well with layups from Arya Bonthu, and Aryan Patel. The game was going back and forth for a while and then the Wranglers couldn’t get a stop for consecutive plays and the Lions went on a run 6-0 to end the first half. Aayush Golla, and Daksh Shetty came out hot in the second half but it wasn't enough as the Lions pulled out the victory. The Wranglers will take on the Carroll Middle School Dragons on the road.
8th Grade A Team
West: 77

The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers played their season opener on the road against the Adam Middle School Lions. The Wranglers started out firing on all cylinders. Tre Watson, and De’ Wayvein Witcher got set the tone defensively with active hands which forced a lot of turnovers. The Wranglers capitalized on the turnovers and got out to a 20 point halftime lead. In the second half Samardh Talagadadeevi, Andrew Ma, and Ritvesh Achivenkata converted on several layups to help secure the Wranglers win. The Wranglers will look to add to the win column next week as they play the Carroll Middle School Dragons on the road.
