This weekend, the Lady Wranglers Wrestling team traveled to Allen High School to compete in their first tournament of the season. After facing off against the other Coppell schools many times over the past few weeks, they were excited to have some new competition and see some new faces out on the mats.
Each of the wrestlers fought incredibly hard and had so much to be proud of after the tournament. Eliana Acuna showed incredible intensity and high levels of skill out on the mats. Returning from an injury earlier in the week, Samantha Foster came back ready to fight and showed incredible drive, speed, and perseverance in her matches. Sneha Mittal wrestled her best bout of the season at the tournament, utilizing great techniques and high intensity throughout the match. Ananya Roy took the mat ready to compete and had some incredible matches. Howra Abubeker brought home two wins and had two very close matches, nearly winning a medal in the tournament. Anabella brought home three wins for the Lady Wranglers at the Allen Tournament. She is our Wrestler of the Weekend for her hard work that resulted in a bronze medal.
At the tournament, the Lady Wranglers represented Coppell Middle School West incredibly well and made us proud both on and off the mats. They will take the mats again on Tuesday, December 6th against Keller. The match will be at 5:30pm at Fossil Ridge High School. We hope to see you there!
