The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers took on the Vista Ridge Panthers at their first home game of the season and played lights out, adding one to the win column taking down the Panthers 35-10. Denim Jones led the way with 10 points to go along with 3 steals and 3 assists. The player of the game, Pranav Vempati dominated the boards with 8 rebounds topped off with 8 points. Anuj Palaniraj and Renish Joshi also added 6 points each to the mix. Tre Carthen and Dayton Tran played some lock down defense grabbing a couple steals each. It was a well played hard fought game. Next week the Wranglers look to take on CMS North with an inner city battle. It should be another great game.

The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers took on the Vista Ridge Panthers in their first home of the season. The Wranglers started off the game with good ball movement which resulted in easy baskets around the rim. The Wranglers played stifling defense from start to finish and controlled the flow of the game. Phillip Fordjour led the Wranglers in rebounds,
Evan Baltimore, Rithik Reddy, and Ashil Desai brought energy off the bench which kept the Wranglers fans engaged and cheering throughout the game. The Wranglers won by a score of 52-20. Aryan Patel, and Arya Bonthu led the Wranglers in scoring with 17, and 24 points respectively. The Wranglers will look to keep the winning streak going next week as they face cross town rivals Coppell Middle School North Cougars at home.
8th grade A team

The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers took on a fast and athletic Vista Ridge Panther team at home on Monday. The Wranglers' pressure defense was too much for the Panthers from the beginning. Leading the charge was Point guard Robert Watson with great passing and defense. Samardh Talagadadeevi and Andrew Ma made back to back jump shots to give the Wranglers a good lead going into the second quarter. The Panthers closed the gap in the second quarter by getting baskets from strong inside post play. Then Madhav Kumar came into the game and played great post defense which neutralized the Panthers from scoring the basketball inside the paint. The Wranglers went into halftime with a 20 point lead. The Wranglers finished the game strong and won the game with the final score 73-28. The Wranglers will look to add to the win streak next week as they take on Coppell Middle School North Cougars at home.
