7th Grade A Team:
West: 52
Wilson: 51

The Coppell Middle School West Wrangler A team won in an Overtime thriller against Wilson in their first game back from the break. The Wranglers fell to an early deficit but crawled their way back into the game. Wilson took the lead 16-9 after the first quarter but it didn’t hold the Wranglers back. They came right back in the 2nd quarter to chip into their lead. At half time the Wranglers were only down 2. The 3rd quarter is when the Wrangler offense started to click and West took a 4 point lead into the 4th quarter. The final frame was an offensive explosion for both teams. Missed free throws by the Wranglers would let Wilson come back into the game and send the game into overtime. The Wranglers got down early in overtime but did not let that get them down. A big time layup by Nyne Palmer cut the game to within 1 with 30 seconds left. Wilson missed the front end of their 1 and 1 from the free throw line and the Wrangler offense drove down the court. Shaun Gandhi played hero as his 5 foot floater found the bottom of the net as the clock wound down. The Wranglers were victorious 52-51. Leading scorers for the Wranglers were: Shaun Gandhi- 21, Pierce Huyny- 15, Siddanth Kakani- 10. Leading rebounders were: Ayaan Patel- 4, Shrimash Chavali- 4. The Wranglers move to 3-3 on the season and face off against East next Wednesday.

7th Grade B Team:
West: 14
Wilson: 23

The West Wrangler 7th Grade B team took the court for their first game back after the holiday break against Wilson at home. The Wranglers played a really hard fought game and played very well defensively. Turnovers on the offensive side of the ball would keep the Wrangler offense from taking a lead. Despite the poor night offensively the Wranglers found themselves only down 4 points entering the 4th quarter. But some costly turnovers would be too much for the Wranglers to overcome. Leading the Wranglers in scoring were: Vihaan Desai- 8 and Dhruv Madavarapu- 3. Leading rebounders were: Priyag Mishra- 5, Tyler Mahama- 4, & DeAndrea Mack- 4.

7th Grade C Team:
West: 21
Wilson: 29

The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers lost the first home game back from the break this week to the Wilson Middle School Wildcats. The Wildcats started the game strong and developed a 9 to 3 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Wranglers got their offense going in the 2nd quarter and managed to score 9 points in the quarter. The score going into half time was Wilson leading 18 to 12. The Wrangler defense was able to hold Wilson to 3 points in the 3rd quarter, but were unable to score. In the 4th, West outscored Wilson 9 to 8, but it was not enough to cut the lead in the time available. In the end, Wilson was able to hold on to win, with a final score of 29 to 21. On offense, Emmitt Wilson and Nund Shah led the Wranglers in scoring, with 9 and 7 points. Wilson also led the team in rebounds with 8 on the game. Next week, the Wranglers will travel to Coppell Middle School East to take on the Broncos.
