The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers took on the Wilson Wildcats for their first game back from the winter break. The game was a track meet from start to finish! Both teams played with a high tempo. The Wranglers held a one point lead going into the second quarter. Robert Watson, and Samardh Talagadadeevi took over in the second quarter to give the Wranglers a double digit lead going into halftime. The Wildcat’s responded by going on a 6-0 run to cut the Wrangler into single digits. Madhav Kumar, Prabhav, and Sahcid Pola came in the game to get the Wrangler lead back up to double digits. In the fourth the Wildcat’s made one more run, but it wasn’t enough as the Wranglers pulled away 66-49. The Wranglers will be looking to add to the win column next week as they take on cross rivals the Coppell East Broncos.
8th Grade B Team

This week in athletics the Coppell Middle School West Wrangler boys basketball team took on the Wilson Wildcats on the road. The Wranglers came out hot with great shooting from Arya Bonthu, Aryan Patel, and Daksh Shetty. The Wranglers stayed locked in on defense throughout the entire game and made tough on the Wildcats to score the basketball. Reuben Sarkodie, and Evan Baltimore played great and brought tenacity to the Wranglers attack! Aayush Golla, and Ashial Desai came off the bench and had very productive minutes. Philip Fordjour led the Wranglers with 20 rebounds! The Wranglers won with the final score of 51-33. The Wranglers will look to add to their winning ways next week as they take on cross town rivals the Coppell Middle School East Broncos at home.
8th Grade C Team

The Coppell Middle School West Wranglers came out hot from the break, firing on all cylinders playing some great defense, crashing the boards, and hustling hard. Spreading the ball around in a outstanding team effort, multiple players: Shreehan Patak, Denim Jones, Renish Joshi, Landen Kuene, Dayton Tran, Pranav Vempati, Tre Carthen, Akash Arepally, and this week’s player of the game Aarush Sanjay all scored a couple of buckets each. The Wranglers played some lockdown defense allowing just 2 points during the first half and 7 points during the entire game. CMS West Wranglers looks to take on CMS East Broncos next week at home in a battle of the Coppell Middle Schools.
