This week, the Lady Wranglers Wrestling team traveled to Cross Timbers Middle School to compete against several new opponents from Grapevine, Keller, and other local districts. They had a fantastic showing on the mats, and we are so proud of their efforts.
Eliana Acuna started the Lady Wranglers off with the first bout of the night, and she was able to secure an exciting win against her opponent. Fiona Erb hit the mats ready to compete and worked incredibly hard in her bouts. Ananya Roy gave her opponents a battle to fight and left everything on the mats. Sneha Mittal competed against her opponents with strength, courage, and intensity. Anabella Pernia came out with great intensity and was able to bring home a win for the Lady Wranglers. Howra Abubeker worked incredibly hard at Cross Timbers, competing in three intense bouts and bringing home two exciting wins for the Lady Wranglers. Lilly Davis also came out ready to compete and eager for wins and was able to bring home two wins. Samantha Foster battled her heart out on the mats this week, and her efforts were rewarded with an incredible win for the Lady Wranglers. The Wrestlers of the Week are Samantha Foster for securing her first win of her career and Sneha Mittal for her courage and intensity during her bouts.
Although we are sad to see the end of the season drawing near, the Lady Wranglers are excited for their final match next week. On Tuesday (1/17), the Lady Wranglers will take on the East Broncos and the North Cougars for the All-Cities Championship of Coppell in their home gym. The competition starts at 5:30— We hope to see you there!
