On Tuesday, the Lady Wranglers Wrestling Team took the mats one last time for this season in their home gym and tied for first place at the All-Cities Championship against North and East. They have been working incredibly hard all season, and it was incredible to see them put everything they’ve learned over the last several months into practice in their final meet of the season. We saw several high intensity matches, lots of wins, and each girl that competed brought home a medal. Sneha Mittal earned a bronze medal. Eliana Acuna, Samantha Foster, Ananya Roy, Sneha Mittal, Fiona Erb, Howra Abubeker, and Anabella Pernia earned silver medals. Lilly Davis earned a gold medal, ending the season with a record of 15-1. The Wrestlers of the Week are Ananya Roy and Lilly Davis for their tenacity and hard work out on the mats. We are so proud of our team for working so hard and bringing home the gold!
Although we are sad to see the season come to a close this week, we could not be prouder of the Lady Wranglers and all of their hard work and effort this season. They have poured blood, sweat, and tears into this sport over the last few months, and they have relentlessly supported one another throughout the journey. We have seen significant growth in each wrestler and the team as a whole both on and off the mats, and we absolutely cannot wait to see them continue building on this foundation as they move forward in their wrestling careers.
