WHAT A GAME! WOW! The fans, staff, volleyball players are still talking about last night's game against Coppell East! It was a nailbiter! So close! The Lady Wranglers went into THREE, very close games again Coppell East. For the first game, it was a neck and neck, but the Lady Wranglers made some mistakes and lost the first game 20-25. However, we bounced right back with Ayraa Vijay and Madison Villegas being on point with their serves. We were down by a bit, but Ayraa came in and scored 6 points in a row. Ayraa also had some good net plays with a couple of blocks and a a few power hits in the middle. Coppell East got ahead again, but then Madison came back and served 10 in a row to give the girls a big lead and win the second game 25-16. For the third game, the Lady Wranglers had a slow start and were down quick. Missed hits, weak passing in serve receive cost them, but again, Madison Villegas came up to the line and served up some power serves to tie the game 14-14. We couldn't execute a free ball which caused the ball to go back to East and they did end up winning, 16-14. So close and the girls really wanted this one, but they played their hearts out and everyone was so proud. One more regular season game at Colleyville, then tournament time. The Wranglers of the Week are Madison Villegas and Ayraa Vijay.
