The Wrangler Cross Country Team fought for placement as they competed in their annual, and this year very rainy, Zone Meet of the season. The Wranglers ran against Coppell Middle School North and Coppell Middle School East at Andrew Brown Park West on October 25, 2023.

For our 8th grade teams, our runners ran a hard fought race! With our Boys A Division landing 2nd, our Boys B Division landing 3rd, our Girls A Division landing 2nd, and our Girls B division in 2nd, our 8th grade runners worked hard to get the times that they received. Our fastest 8th grade boy sliding into 2nd place with a time of 11:31.20, and our fastest 8th grade girl running at a 13:36.00, our teams worked hard and showed up at the Zone Meet. Congratulations to our top 7 runners from each group for making it to Meet of Champions next week!

For our 7th grade teams, our Boys A division landed with a team score of 55 in 3rd place, the Boys B Division landed with a team score of 54, also in 3rd place, our Girls A Division finished with a team score of 79 in 3rd, and our Girls B Division finished with a team score of 85 in 3rd place. Although they did not land with the highest team scores, our teams fought hard for their times and their places throughout the meet, with a lot of athletes beating some great times! Our fastest boy runner finished with a time of 11:57.71, and our fastest girl runner finished with a time of 16:05.35. Amazing job, Wranglers! We are excited to see you all compete at Meet of Champions!
