The Wrangler Cross Country Team wrapped up their amazing season at the Meet of Champions on Wednesday, November 01, 2023. The Wranglers ran against all schools from the district, including: Coppell Middle School East, Coppell Middle School North, Colleyville Middle School, Grapevine Middle School, Colleyville Heritage Middle School, and Cross Timbers Middle School.

For our 8th grade teams, our boys team landed in 4th place overall and our girl’s team landed in 6th place overall. Our fastest runner for the boys team landed in 7th place overall with a time of 11:10.71 and our fastest runner for the girls team landed in 2nd place overall with a time of 12:51.55. Our 8th graders have worked so hard the past two years, and we are so proud of their accomplishments and success throughout their time on the West Cross Country team. Amazing job, everyone!

For our 7th grade teams, our boys team placed 5th overall, and our girls placing 7th overall. With our two fastest runners on our boys team landing in 5th place and 7th place out of 49, and having times of 11:37.43 and 11:53.47, our boys team fought very hard to place highly, not just as a team but individually as well. Although our girls ran hard and fought to be in the top, the group ended up in last place overall. Our fastest runner for the girl’s team landed in 35th, with an amazing time of 15:27.97! Great job ladies and gentlemen, we are so proud of you for how hard you worked at our Meet of Champions!

What an amazing season! We are all so proud of our Wrangler Runners for working so hard this year. We cannot wait for an even BETTER season next fall. Congratulations, everyone!
