The Lady Wranglers A Team had a hard team to go up against right when the ball was sent into the air. With a hard full court press, and a quick offense, the Lady Timberwolves created a quick moving game as the ran the Lady Wranglers up and down the court. As the game went on however, the Lady Wranglers began to work together more and move their feet, proving that they had the endurance and ability to keep up with the Lady Timberwolves no matter what. Lyric Polk held the highest about of points scored with multiple attempts and 6 makes. Free throws helped get our points up and hard defense helped stop the Timberwolves from scoring more than they already were. Ishani Dash, the Player of the Week, worked hard on defense, getting rebounds down low, and keeping up with her man as she sprinted up and down the court. Overall, the A Team worked hard, but fell short with a 51 - 11 loss.
Additionally, the Lady Wranglers B Team had a tough Lady Timberwolves to compete against. With strong ball handlers and fast breaks, the Lady Wranglers had a hard time keeping up, but they never gave up and ran some of their offensive plays and executed driving to the basket. The girls also showed improvement with full court man to man press and getting the ball to our outlets and passing the ball down the court. Kashi Mogili was the Wrangler of the Week by leading her team on offense and driving to the basket. We had lots of opportunities under the basket, but couldn't get the ball to fall. The Lady Wranglers were defeated 46 to 6.
Lady Wranglers C Team held the Lady Timberwolves to only 22 points. The Lady Wranglers ran some of their offensive plays and converted some fast breaks, but the Lady Timberwolves had some height to their team that was tough for us to stop. Prajakta Mandal was the Wrangler of the Week by stepping up to be the point guard, since our starter was out and she did a great job of finishing her lay ups on fast breaks.
