The Lady Wranglers kicked off their season on April 4th with two great games against the Heritage Broncos! Despite having less than a week of practice to prepare, the Lady Wranglers showed up ready to fight and did a phenomenal job. The Lady Wranglers A team started us off strong and was very aggressive on both offense and defense. They faced a strong defense from the Heritage Broncos, but they were still able to attack the goal, move the ball around the field, and work well as a team. Our Wranglers of the Week were Madison Hartzell, Khushi Singla, and goalkeepers Lilly Davis and Poshika Eswaran, who made a combined total of eight saves!
The B team took the field next, after the great example set by the A-Team. They hit the field ready to play and moved the ball around the field well. They communicated with and encouraged one another well. Lyric Polk and Anvita Vanga did phenomenal in the goal, making many beautiful saves. The B team’s defense was strong, their offense was ready to attack, and although many of them were new to soccer, they all fought incredibly hard and left everything on the field. Although neither team ultimately claimed a victory, we are incredibly proud of where the Lady Wranglers are starting their season and cannot wait to see all they accomplish the season.
