The Lady Wrangler 8th grade volleyball teams traveled to Grapevine Middle school for their first game of the season on Thursday night. The B team took the court first and came out with powerful serves, strong passes, and high energy. They fought from the second they stepped on the court, and thanks to all of their hard work and effort, they were able to earn the first win of the season for the Lady Wranglers 8th Grade Volleyball team! We are so proud of our B team for their incredible first game and for bringing home our first win this season. The Wranglers of the Week are Aditi Athale and Yashwitha Parnapalli.
After watching our B team win the first game of the season, the Lady Wrangler A team came out ready to play! They showed up with strong and consistent serves, great passes from serve receive, and fantastic hustle to keep the ball in play for some long, impressive rallies. Although the A team ultimately fell short against the strong Grapevine A team, the A team fought incredibly hard and we’re very proud of and excited about where they are starting this season. The Wranglers of the Week are Madison Villegas and Isabel Le.
After a big win from B team and an exciting game from A team, the C team couldn’t wait to take the court for their game. They started off strong with some really great rallies and awesome serves. They were neck and neck with Grapevine throughout the game, and no matter what happened, the Lady Wranglers C team never gave up the fight. Although they ended up coming just shy of a victory in both sets, we are so proud of the way that they maintained their energy, composure, and fundamentals against a challenging opponent. The Wranglers of the Week are Aathira Anilkumar and Riya Bhimireddy.
Last night was an amazing night for the Lady Wranglers, and we are so proud of where they’re starting this season. We can’t wait to see all that this team accomplishes this season.
