Lady Wranglers Face Off Against East Broncos

WEST GIRLS ATHLETICS

West Girls Athletics | 9/19/2024

This week, the West Wranglers faced off against their crosstown rivals, the East Broncos, in their first home game of the season. From the first point of the night, the energy in the gym was palpable, with fans rallying behind their teams and showcasing unwavering support for the West Wranglers. In all three games, the West Wranglers demonstrated determination and grit, pushing themselves to give their best performances, even in the face of challenging competition from the East Broncos.

The B team started off the night on a high note and exhibited strong teamwork and resilience all throughout their game. The West Wranglers faced tough competition from the East Broncos, but they put up a relentless fight for every point. This hard work and effort from the West Wranglers resulted in taking the game to three. Although they ultimately did not bring home the win, the B team’s effort set a positive tone for the rest of the evening, inspiring their fellow teammates to give their all in the games to follow.

The A team was up next, and after several weeks of playing on the road, they were excited to finally get to face an opponent in front of their home crowd. They started off the first set with high energy and went point for point with the East Broncos. They made some incredible saves, had some long rallies, and played with unmatched heart and enthusiasm. There were several standout moments of skill that excited the crowd. Although they did not ultimately secure the victory over the East Broncos, we could not be more proud of the West Wranglers A team and all of their hard work this week.

The C team followed, showcasing their own fierce determination despite facing a tough opponent. The C team worked tirelessly in their game, and they were constantly adapting, learning, and growing from the challenges they faced. The C team’s spirit and dedication were evident as they communicated with and encouraged one other on the court. Although the team ultimately fell short of the victory, their commitment to working hard was evident throughout the match, and we are proud of our West Wranglers C team.

Our offensive Wranglers of the Week were Kashvi Mogili and Rhea Parikh for their powerful hits and incredible touches on the block. Our defensive Wranglers of the Week were Isabel Le and Tanisha Yadav for their incredible passes and impressive hustle all over the court. Additional shoutouts for this week go out to Kendi Kimathi for some incredible plays on the back row and the C team for their hard work and grit.

We are so proud of the West Wranglers and their hard work on and off the court this week. The resilience and camaraderie displayed by the West Wranglers in the first half of their season has set a promising foundation for the rest of the season ahead, and we can’t wait to see all that is in store for them in the coming weeks. We hope to see you next week as we take on the Colleyville Colts!
