The Lady Wranglers took on the Cross Timbers Wolves last night. Coming off of a very long break and having a bye week, the A Team Lady Wranglers looked a little rusty with their passes and shots, but started to come around the second half. With some solid drives, fast transitions, the girls made some key shots, but too many turnovers and missed passes caused the Lady Wranglers to fall short. The girls showed more aggressiveness on defense and executed plays, but Cross Timbers had solid shooters and height that took advantage of the Wranglers.
After a long break, B Team came out ready to fight. The Lady Wranglers started off a little shaky and fell behind by 8 points. After halftime we made a few adjustments by switching from a zone to a man defense. The girls caused absolute chaos and took control of the game. Efforts from Khloe and Sloan helped our team bounce back. In the end, the B Team Lady Wranglers lost by 3 points. This was by far their best game of the season.
The C Team showed up ready to play! The girls started off strong with an intense zone defense and correctly executed a fast break when given the opportunity. Sam and Anay lead their team in points, assists, and defensive plays. The C Team Lady Wranglers followed their lead and showed no mercy against the Cross Timbers Wolves. Next week, we will be working on making stronger passes and anticipating where our teammates will be instead of where they have been. We look forward to our last game of the season against Coppell Middle School North.
